A legal IPTV reseller partnership needs more than an account-creation panel. Before representing a provider to customers, understand what the provider can authorize, what you are allowed to market, and which party handles problems.
Confirm the rights chain
Request documents identifying the content owner or authorized distributor, the rights being granted, the territories covered, and whether onward resale is permitted. Ask how new channels or titles enter the catalogue and how expired rights are removed. A blanket assertion of legality is not a substitute for reviewable terms.
Read the reseller contract
- What can you say about channel availability, quality, and uptime?
- Who sets customer prices and handles taxes or consumer disclosures?
- What are the credit, renewal, refund, and termination rules?
- Who responds to rights claims, service incidents, and customer complaints?
- What happens to active customers if the partnership ends?
Test the operating relationship
Ask for a panel demonstration, a support escalation route, and a realistic test. Keep a copy of written claims and report any mismatch between the contract and the sales materials. Reassess the relationship when product scope or territory changes.
